W3FC002 – NYC

Thursday 13th April – Socceroof, Sunset Park, Brooklyn.
On April 13th, the W3FC team descended upon New York City for their highly-anticipated W3FC002 event. The event was bigger, better, and more fun-packed than ever before. From 1-6pm, over 350 people gathered in an open environment that included the Opensea Networking Lounge, a W3FC Tournament, and an activation by the amazing artist Vinnie Hager on the outside terrace.
The tournament saw a whopping 16 teams enter, ranging from NFT projects to NFT marketplaces, all competing for a chance to make it to the knockout stages. After hours of friendly and competitive footy, the winners were crowned: AC Momento. As the event wrapped up, attendees enjoyed a breathtaking view of lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty from the Socceroof terrace while receiving the post-tournament briefing and prizes.
The event was a huge success, with many attendees noting the excellent organization and positive atmosphere. “W3FC002 was everything we were hoping for and more,” said one attendee. “It was an incredible opportunity to network with other like-minded individuals while also enjoying some friendly competition on the pitch.”
The W3FC community continues to grow and thrive, with plans for future events already in the works. Whether you’re a fan of football or simply interested in exploring the exciting world of Web3, W3FC is the place to be.
We want to extend our ultimate thanks to our amazing sponsors: Opensea, Pudgy Penguins, Americana, and Pitch Web3. Additionally, we’d like to thank Michael from Liquid Death for providing our event with enough to murder our thirst!
